Bug Bureau is what happens when one family’s curiosity about the tiny creatures around them gets slightly out of hand. We find them, photograph them, learn about them and document the things we discover along the way.

HOW WE ENDED UP HERE
It started, more or less, with a kid who really loved beetles.
One rose chafer led to another. Walks became bug hunts, the garden became a place to investigate, and “Come look what I found!” became a very common sentence around here. Photos turned into drawings, drawings into a growing insect journal, and soon we were learning the names and lives of creatures we’d walked past a hundred times before.
Eventually, some of them moved in. Beetles, isopods, millipedes and other tiny residents turned our home into a slightly unofficial field station — and the rest of the family got pulled into the adventure too.
Bug Bureau grew out of all of that: a place to keep our discoveries, share what we learn, make things inspired by the creatures we love, and hopefully encourage a few more people to stop and look at the small stuff.
